oh, you're dealing with that too! I've been getting some really dirty ones lately. Blogger is pretty good about weeding them out but now I have like 50 pages of spam comments. I just turned on the moderation. I just can't bring myself to put captca on my blog. but ah the spammers are brutal!
50 pages eeeeek!!! I clear my spam box several times a day. Dump the crap as soon as it arrives I say. I'm still getting comments from a troll, they get dumped immediately as well. All this tidying up takes time.
Oh it's getting much worse now! The SPAM filter catches a lot of them but I still have to remove the rest from my blog daily! Grrr!
I looked into ways to prevent it. The only thing apart from Captcha is to set it so that only registered people can comment. This will prevent the occasional useful comment from a registered person, but I've left it on for a day so far and I haven't had a single SPAM comment yet! (Usually would have maybe 10-30!)
The spam is a pain isn't it. Not to worry.

I found setting it to registered readers only, stopped the dreadful spam dead. Hurrah!
